In response to the arrogance and unaccountability of the press Mr Murdoch advocates doing exactly what I have done with this blog--I on Media-- anyone "can start up [their] own blog and cover and comment on the news [themselves]. Journalists like to think of themselves as watchdogs, but they haven't always responded well when the public calls them to account."
Shine the light of transparency and accountability on news media by inviting "news-journalists" to voluntarily disclose their political bias. Do you know the political agenda of your news source? Ask journalists who they voted for.

News Media's Bias Is Self-inflicted Poison
Michael Malone explains why news media's insistence on maintaining and propogating liberal bias is killing journalism-- "The traditional media are playing a very, very dangerous game -- with their readers, with the Constitution and with their own fates. 'The sheer bias in the print and television coverage of this election campaign is not just bewilering, but appalling."

Message From Orson Scott Card To Journalists
Orson Scott Card warns so-called journalists: "If you do not tell the truth about the Democrats — including Barack Obama — and do so with the same energy you would use if the miscreants were Republicans — then you are not journalists by any standard.

The Dangerous News Media Causes Colossal Loss
Once again the irresponsible professional news media hurt a public company to the tune of billions. By erroneously stating that United Airlines had filed for a second bankruptcy, the clowns in news media sent the airline’s stock spiraling down from$12 to about $3 in less than an hour.
Why do we let news media go unchecked?

Leftist MSNBC Maintains Ratings Basement Dweller Status
“MSNBC is behaving like a heroin addict,” says a senior staff member of NBC. “They’re living from fix to fix and swearing they’ll go into rehab the next week.” The fix of liberally biased political coverage plays well with leftist viewers but only serves to deepen the laughable claim by MSNBC and NBC of their professional neutrality. With "incendiary hosts" and proven democrat party sympathizers Chris Mathews and "krazy" Keith "ubermoron" Olbermann at the helm of its political news coverage, leftist MSNBC remains the ratings loser for political news coverage.

CNN's Lou Dobbs Calls Journalists Despicable Phonies
Journalists that won't reveal their bias are phonies. So says Lou Dobbs. More on that in a second.
Once again this weblog-- I on Media-- calls and challenges journalists to identify, disclose, declare, reveal, and publish their political biases and perspectives to their audience; to reveal conflicts of interest, in material form with a label attached to their journalism, perhaps as simple as who the journalist votes for; readers deserve nothing less.
Financial reporters already disclose conflicts of interest. It's time for political reporters to do the same. CNN's Dobbs agrees, stating: "every reporter on television, every editor, every reporter in the newspapers and magazines and on the web, there ought to be a little identification like we put on the lower third of the screen for an elected official, D or republican from Iowa or Des Moines or whatever, put that under there, we're journalist, declare yourself."
Dobbs continues "When these news organizations are doing this and trying to pretend cloaking themselves in the mantle of objectivity, you know, they're silly, (trulish), absolutely in my opinion, despicable phonies. They need to step out, they need to be objective or get their opinions out where it can be examined."

Mainstream Media Ignores Speaker Pelosi's Felonious View of Catholicism
Catholic Bishops condemn Speaker Pelosi's interpretation of the Catholic Church's view of abortion. Funny thing, despite the towering importance of the unprecedented rebuttal of liberal leader and Catholic Pelosi, Mainstream News is--well no where to be found. This is a huge story especially with a source such as Denver's archbishop right under their noses and they still choose to ignore the get. Mainstream news-- your liberal bias is showing again. Hugh Hewitt agrees, and pointed out on his radio show that apparently liberals know with certainty when global warming begins but seem stumped as to when the life of a baby begins.
Mainstream Media Choose To Ignore Attempted Censorship
B. Hussein Obama's lawyers are scurrying around trying to censor this video. Mainstream Media ignores the story.

Biases
We all have a bias. Except for News Media, we, the rational, know this. Having a bias is normal. Having no bias is abnormal. Astonishingly, News Media CLAIMS to be UNBIASED. They are in fact, biased, but unwilling to admit it, and disclose it. To have any credibility News Media needs to place disclaimers on their product. Until News Media discloses their bias, News Media remains unaccountable, negligent, dangerous and ignorant.
Demand accountability, demand disclosure of bias.
According to Robin Hanson, associate professor of Economics at the George Mason University, a bias is a systematic tendency to produce error of judgement. An error is a gap between the truth and our estimation of it. When an incorrect bias is fostered, the results can be damaging to the society at large. Hanson suggests interesting approaches such as prediction markets to promote honesty and overcome the pernicious effects of bias.

Liberals Claiming To Be Religious
"How we know with certainty that secularism is synonymous with "reason" and religion synonymous with "mere opinion" is never explained." A great quote from a cogent article exposing the utterly untenable position of liberals claiming to be non-sectarian religious. Olbermann: Snide Bobblehead
The future of liberal news is on display now at MSNBC, home of the snide, sophmoric propogancasters. "Olbermann and like-minded bobbleheads nod at each other" is how this column describes liberal Krazy Keith.

CBS Noteworthy For Just Doing Its Job
CBS News finally does its reporting job by exposes a certain liberal candidate's "embellishments"--after choosing to sit on the information for 3 months. Of note is not that the candidate would "embellish", and not that CBS would sit on the information, but that CBS actually did its job as a self-proclaimed impartial organization of reporting damaging information against a liberal.

Exposing Media-Academic Censorship
A resource in fighting the liberal media-academic conspiracy can be found in this trailer of the film titled "Expelled", to be released in the coming months. Expelled questions the liberal media-academic complex's effort to silence, censor, fight and destroy freedom of ideas; the right to study intelligent design and question darwinism.

Associated Press Doesn't Report Stories, They Make The Stories
True to form, Associated Press reporter Glen Johnson reveals his low-level professionalism in this video by: a) making up facts b) stating opinion c) becoming the story instead of reporting the story and e) exposing the vanity of AP reporters. Not very professional today Mr. Johnson.
Who checks these guys? Where's the checks and balances on the press? Where is the accountability for Mr. Johnson? The Press CLAIM they report stories; in FACT they create stories.

"Big Media Isn’t Used To Having The Spotlight Turned Around And Put On Them"
TechCrunch founder Michael Arrington writes a great entry here regarding mainstream media's amazingly juvenile inability to self-scrutinize.
